So many clients come to us with locked posterior tilts and / or decompression of the joints. The challenge for Pilates instructors is to explain to their clients how to use the pelvis and core muscles. The lower back needs to be supported without locking the pelvis and restricting movement. Restricted movement immediately creates tension in the body, so the vicious cycle of pain, tightness and sometimes lack of movement through parts of the spine and pelvis continues.
The discs in your spine need lubrication. When they are compressed the fluids, (lubricants), can not freely pump up the discs. Nerves are pinched and the result is pain. So if you have experienced sciatica, with pains running down your leg, then you can understand that this problem can make your life miserable. This is only one example of poor spinal health.
I am so excited that the Oov has been created. It teaches your body through feel how to use your core and pelvis muscles correctly. While you are on the Oov you will feel your spine relaxing and lengthening. People feel instant effects of overall relaxation while their core is at work.
